Sustainability and
Eco-Innovation Plan
The women's fashion company, ALDO MARTINS, establishes a collaboration with BCOME as part of the project "Sustainability and Eco-Innovation Plan: Incorporation of Low Environmental Impact Materials and More Sustainable Manufacturing Processes for the Women's Fashion Market" under the 2023 call for Grants for Industrial Research, Development, and Innovation Projects in the Manufacturing Industry, funded by the European Union NextGen.
During this collaboration, 80% of the items from the FW23-24 collection were analyzed to assess their impact based on four key indicators: water scarcity, global warming, eutrophication, and abiotic depletion. This analysis has led to the identification of the following points:

The company has a strong traceability knowledge, with 90% awareness of its suppliers.

100% of the collection is made in Spain.

The extraction of raw materials represents the highest environmental impact according to the four indicators mentioned.

Overall, the environmental impact of the analyzed items is below the industry's standards.
